As summer creeps closer to its end, and with it the grip of extreme temperatures felt across the country, we pray the pandemic eases with them. These days bring so many new and sometimes unexpected challenges, but we're doing our best to press on. We're so thankful for our amazing customers, new and returning, who have stuck with us through this time.
Shipping UPS Only
We're working hard to continue to provide our goods and services with the same quality and speed as you've come to expect. As many of our competitors restrict or halt shipping, and we continue to receive more reports of shipping issues particularly with USPS, we have now fully committed to switching every live order to UPS 1 to 3 day delivery services.
We are so thankful for our postal workers, wish to continue to support the USPS and hate to take our business, albeit small, elsewhere. The affordability has been a great option for our customers and we've used mainly their services for many years. We hope to return when things cool down both meteorologically and metaphorically speaking. Alas, with little lives quite literally at stake, its become apparent that this is the most logical decision.
Due to the service impacts related to Coronavirus, FedEx has suspended their money-back guarantee for all FedEx Express, FedEx Ground, FedEx Freight, and FedEx Office services. They have also suspended Signature Required for most shipments. This means we can no longer use this services to guarantee that your package will be delivered directly to a person, as opposed to being left in a mailbox or on a porch and exposed to the elements. They've also applied surcharges and fees to all of their services, making them more expensive than UPS in all cases except ground shipping for heavy packages like our bulk chow. We will ship large orders of dry goods via FedEx Ground upon request as this remains the most affordable option.

UPS Updated information on Service Restrictions
Due to service impacts related to Coronavirus, UPS has suspended their guaranteed arrival times (money-back guarantees for late packages) on all shipping options until further notice.

It may be possible to route packages to an available UPS Access Point location. We're happy to assist you in finding the best options for your package or arrange shipping to your preferred UPS Access Point. We recommend double checking that the Access Point of your choice is still operational as many have changed or closed due to coronavirus. Out of Stock Items
Our Medium roaches will remain out of stock until late September to mid October. We have a waiting list but spots are very limited. Full availability is expected to be back by January.
Large roaches will be back in stock but with limited stock come first week of September. This will be first come, first serve.
Water crystals will be updated and back in stock by the first week of September. There will be a price change as well as a change to the quantity options.
Chow is still in stock and bulk is available however we will be making changes to the quantity options and switching to size by name, rather than by weight, for instance small, medium, large packages, etc. The approximate weights will be listed in the description but will be approximate. The mass versus volume of our two chows vary quite a bit and pose a lot of challenges when packaging, which is a challenge already to find suitable and durable packaging as well as shipping. We're working hard to figure out how to get you the most bang for your buck. As always, you can request a special order for assistance with finding the best, most cost efficient fit for your needs.
We know many of our customers are residents of states being affected by horrific natural disasters. Each of you are in our thoughts and prayers during this time, and while we believe in the power of prayer, we also believe in being the answer to prayers when needed. My long-time mantra has been 'if you have the ability to respond, you have the responsibility'. If you find yourself in a bind, we would like to offer you our goods at cost, you would be responsible just for the cost of shipping and handling. We only ask that you remember we may have big heart but we're still a small business with limited stock, and trust that you will be honest. We're also gathering a list of other businesses offering similar help. Please don't hesitate to reach out.
November; Expected Mailing Delays:
While we can't predict the future, there's a lot of talk about the affects of the pressure that mail-in ballots could potentially impose on our mailing system. We're going to do our best to be prepared as the time approaches. Currently, we hope to continue to ship live orders via UPS and FedEx so long as they remain reliable. We will continue to post updates on our website as we receive information closer to that time.
